Our Story
Meat Up's journey began when two brothers were left frustrated due to the lack of quality takeout options during the COVID pandemic. A time filled with uncertainty and fear, the brothers decided to take risk on opening a ghost kitchen in the heart of East London. A dream turned into reality when a derelict warehouse became available which is now the flagship store. However, many challenges including supply and safety rules changed constantly, and some days they were left wondering if they had opened at the worst possible moment. Business was slow at first, and the pressure was mounting up. There were long days, tough decisions, and moments when giving up felt easier. At first, resources were limited but every cut of meat mattered. They learned by listening to customers, improving every day, and never cutting corners on quality. Word slowly spread, not through social media advertising, but through conversations and recommendations.
The name Meat Up became even more meaningful - staying connected, even when the world felt distant.
Today, Meat Up Store has grown far beyond those early days. What began with just two people has become a strong team of over 50 employees, each one playing a part in the journey.
