About the Role
As a member of the dispatch team, you'll be responsible for efficiently packing food orders for takeaway customers whilst ensuring the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation. This role is key in providing a smooth, fast, and friendly experience for customers and couriers picking up their orders.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Pack food items in takeaway bags accurately and securely, ensuring the correct order
Ensure that packaging materials are clean, durable, and eco-friendly
Add any required condiments, napkins, or utensils to the bags as per customer requests
Double-check order details, including special instructions, to ensure accuracy
Follow labelled orders with unique numbers for easy identification
Assist with organising and sorting orders for quick handover to customers or delivery drivers
Ensure food hygiene and safety standards are strictly followed while handling food items
Keep workstations clean and stocked with necessary packing materials
Communicate with kitchen staff to clarify orders and resolve any discrepancies
Provide friendly and helpful customer service when interacting with customers during order collection
Qualifications & Skills
Prior experience in a takeaway, food service, or retail environment is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Good communication skills for team coordination
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Strong focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards
