About the Role
As a Sous Chef at Meat Up, you will support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, maintaining food quality, and leading the kitchen team. You will play a key role in ensuring our burgers and menu items are prepared to the highest standards while keeping the kitchen efficient, clean, and organised.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
Supervise and support kitchen staff during service
Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes
Maintain hygiene, health, and safety standards
Help with stock control, ordering, and waste management
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
Step in as acting Head Chef when required
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef
Experience working in a fast paced restaurant environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work under pressure and lead by example
Passion for quality food, especially burgers and casual dining
